Asphalt roofs are one of the most popular

roofing materials currently in use in the

United States. These roofs are made from

a limited and polluting resource. The more

natural roofing materials such as ceramic

roofs are made from products that are

stripped from the earth. Tile, clay, concrete

and metal roofs are also mined from the

earth, not to be renewed. New lines of

 outdoor easy-care decking and siding

materials promise a lifetime product, but

 will end up polluting landfills.

Renewable Resource

Guilt free wood for your roofing

 and fencing materials is doing

the right thing for our forests and

 for future generations.

    Wood is a renewable resource

 Harvesting in a careful manner,

we respect the health of the world's

forests and the well-being of the

 people who depend on them.

    Biodegradable

 These Guilt Free Wood products

 are capable of being decomposed

 by biological agents, thereby

 greatly reducing their environ-

 mental impact.

The Trees of Guilt Free Wood Products

Primary causes for the demise of trees harvested for Guilt Free Wood include:

Harsh conditions in the north cause many trees to become

hollow-butted. This condition can continue up the trunk,

eventually killing the tree. These trees are in a stage of

    deterioration or dying.

Natural wind blows and extreme winds actually blow over

giant trees whose roots have been loosened by winter rains.

Dead stumps and salvage left by prior logging operations.

Hemlock luper eats foliage of hemlock and cedar. These trees

    cannot photosynthesize and die standing.

Forest fires run through forests leaving dead standing timber.

Harvest Methods

To minimize potential erosion, materials are lifted off the ground

and brought to a landing area. We will employ helicopter or yarder

logging and always use existing roads. Wood wastes from our harvest

will be utilized for compost or mulch products. No burning is done in

 our harvest!

Quality

We are inspected by British Columbia Ministry of Forestry and

California Department of Forestry and enjoy a reputation for quality.
